Yvonne Stead Nasr – Founder and Executive Director
Yvonne has worked in the field of education for more than twenty five years. In 1993 she joined the prestigious Lebanese school, Brummana High School, to help create a positive learning environment for students returning to their homeland from overseas. In her role as Acting Head of English of the Upper School, Yvonne introduced and coordinated the new English language curriculum, and in 1994 designed and taught SAT courses for both Lebanese and International students when SAT I and II tests were introduced as university entry requirements in Lebanon. Subsequently appointed Head of the Upper School, she continued to develop the school academic program, including the introduction of British IGCSE exams to International students, concentrated SAT classes, college advisory services, and study hall.
In 2004, Yvonne was appointed School Director of a trilingual school in Beirut, La Cite, where she successfully implemented and coordinated new academic programs and coherent procedures governing student progress, conduct and welfare.
Since 2007 Yvonne has principally focused on overseas college counseling, SAT, GMAT and GRE tutoring. Her knowledge of the specific difficulties of the rigorous SAT, GMAT and GRE tests and the methods by which these can be overcome have enabled her students to significantly raise their scores. Her past students have included AUB Merit Scholarships winners and US scholarship award recipients. She has also facilitated graduate and postgraduate placements in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK.
Yvonne holds a B.Sc (Hons) from the University of Durham, UK, and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering (M. Eng) from the American University of Beirut.
